So, yesterday, on a whim, I made a million things. One was a pumpkin spice syrup for coffee. I cant really have the sugar but was curious. Its so easy to do - simply make a sugar syrup and add some canned pumpkin and pumpkin spices (or I guess pumpkin pie filling, but I used what I had!) All my stuff was organic, and I always suggest the same to everyone. While it could use more spice, Starbucks can suck it. Stop giving these companies your cash and discarding all of those wasteful cups. Plus, think of what youll $ave! We are undercover hippies here. We make as much as we can, we reuse as much as we can, and everything is so much better for us. And eating out or getting the occasional junky coffee is an actual treat (though the last time I got a pumpkin sludge from starbucks, I was on the road and totally disappointed that it tasted like a hot slurpee, yuck!!! What in the hell is in those things?) Change your life, change your tastebuds, change the way you think about food. I am not a fan of New Years Resolutions. People make proclamations on December 31 and drop them within a month or two. Its a bullshit ceremony! Make changes for real, when you learn and discover a better way to live. Dont save them for a holiday, dont say youll be better after your birthday, or on January 1, or after this last slice of cake. Yes, you can have a slice of cake, but make it a treat, not a staple! Now, so excited to see my daughter this afternoon... thinking perhaps its a good day for our Japanese bubble gum soup for the new year since we didnt get to hang on the 1st!
