So yet another update on my ticket saga...I go to court tonight...show up 30 minutes early and there are already over 100 people there. I see a couple of troopers, one was the guy who I met at the barracks and knew I had fixed the bulb & had wanted him to sign off on the ticket but he said he couldnt because he couldnt read it). The other was a family friend...both were just shaking their heads. Then I told the court clerk why I was there and he half chuckled & half rolled his eyes.... I signed in, took a seat in the court and waited forever...still nothing. Finally my husband went out to talk to the clerk again to see what was happening...to which he said we would have sat there all night...since I wasnt even on the docket because they couldnt locate the ticket, Tammy Phillips Whitman (even though the only thing you can barely make out on the ticket is tonights date)! So, after a bit longer, the clerk takes the ticket and shows it to the judge (who also happens to be a family friend) and he just laughs too! Meanwhile, Im not finding any of it funny, Im getting more irritated by the minute!!!! Finally, in the end, the clerk tells me to give him my license, he makes a copy of it along with a copy of the receipt for the replacement bulb and attaches it to the original ticket and tells me to not keep showing up at court...they will contact me! Really?????? They now have my original ticket, I have nothing (not even a copy) and I am suppose to believe this is going to be handled correctly from this point forward...given my experience up to now, forgive me if I have little faith! So this saga continues.... Grrrr......What a total waste of my time, the courts time, etc... I have no patience for such nonsense!
