So you want to buy a $20,000 horse, Thats a lot of money for anyone of course. You think you will do better at the shows, That philosophy to me really blows. You want to send your horse away to school, But if you dont go and learn the same then your the fool. Most of the time its not the horses fault, Its usually your lack of learning is the result. Dont buy a horse on looks alone, My horses are great that were once skin and bone. Each of these horses has so much to give, But a rescued horse must prove why he should live. The decision for me isnt at all tough, I choose the rescued horse a diamond in the rough. Its a great feeling to see a rescued horse blossom, Before you know it you have a horse that is awesome. So if you insist on spending that kind of money, Let me give you some good advice dont be a dummy. Spend $500 or so on a rescued horse, Use the $19,500 for lessons of course. But if you really know how to ride, Give the $19,500 to a rescue so more wont be denied. You were going to spend $20,000 anyway, This is a simple philosophy from Reinman Ray.
