So you were walking in darkness and saw a great light? You’ve gone from death to new life? This new life is a different lifestyle from the one you were living. You have a new husband and a new family. You will make new friends along the journey. When you asked Jesus to come into your life, you gave him exclusive ownership to your life. You never have to worry about another proprietor moving in. You belong to him and he belongs to you. Nothing in heaven or on earth can ever separate you from his love. Jesus is the new foundation of your house, but right now you are just like the frame of a new house. By following his footsteps and going where he leads, he will show you and help you accomplish his will for your life. He will show you where to use the gifts and talents he’s given you. Through mountains and valleys of life he will build you into his strong and shiny temple of faith. You never have to worry about being lost or stranded because you put your faith in the Light of the World. He will light your path and pave your way. When those flashing police lights go flying by, you can pray for someone instead of worrying that they are coming for you. A visit to the courthouse won’t cause stress and anxiety because Jesus flipped the bill for your sin. You don’t have to panic when you see the dump truck of life. Your skeletons and old bones were buried at salvation. He’s all the protection you’ll ever need. You once lived in the harness of sin. Now you are free. Others doing wrong does not give you permission to follow suit. You have volunteered to be a soldier in God’s Army. Your new Commander in Chief is Jesus Christ. He has a new mission for you to go into all the nations making disciples, baptizing in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Our mission is to reach those who are still living in darkness and bring them into the marvelous light. He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End; The Great I am; Prince of Peace; Messiah; Savior; King of Kings and Lord of Lords; Name above all names; Blessed Redeemer; Emmanuel; Rescue for sinners: The Ransom from heaven; The Light of the World; Lord of All! He reigns from heaven above, with wisdom, power and love. Our God is an awesome God!
