Soap box time. Im so sick of seeing uninformed reports in the media, spin and untruths being spread by people with clear agendas. The media promote and spin stories to sell papers. Frankly the media coverage on police across the world recently is creating a narrative of mistrust and unwarranted use of force. Having been in the police for over 8 years, this narrative is so dichotomous with my experience that it sickens me. The attitude of some people on the streets is the only abhorrent thing I have experienced. The dregs of society seem unable to recognise their faults and blame everyone before taking the time to reflect on their own behaviour and the impact they have. Its now got to the point when Ill be glad to see the back of my warrant and uniform because people seriously dont respect the police they have become suspicious and resentful, problem is they cant behave appropriately and respectfully to others. I just cant handle being judged and criticised for standing up for whats right.... A very tired flopp....
