Soccer Plus Academy U12 and 16 Boys punch their tickets to 2013 USL Super Y-League North American Finals! The Soccer Plus Academy U12 and 16 Boys have qualified for the 2013 Super Y-League North American Finals presented by Nike, being held at the renowned IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida - December 5-9. The SPA U12 Boys completed the regular season with 8 wins, 1 loss and 2 draws, outscoring their opponents 31-7. With a match to play, the U16 Boys stand at 6 wins, 1 loss and 2 draws, outscoring their opponents 23-7. Congratulations to Coach Evans, Coach Longacre and all of the boys! With 118 teams competing, the total daily attendance for December’s Super Y-League North American Finals is expected to exceed 12,000, and fill more than 7,000 hotel rooms in Manatee and Sarasota Counties. IMG Academy has also hosted several other USL events the past two years including the Super-20 League Championship, the W-20 Championship, the W-League Championship, the Super Y-League Olympic Development Program (ODP) National Camps for boys and girls, and the USL PRO Combine. The world’s largest and most advanced multi-sport training and education complex, IMG Academy has hosted many professional and internationals team training camps, including clubs such as the Seattle Sounders, D.C. United, Columbus Crew, Sweden’s Malmö FF, as well as the U.S. Women’s National Team preparing for the London Olympic Games and the Antigua & Barbuda Men’s National Team preparing for World Cup qualifying.
