Social Influencer Stats Today I stumbled across various stats - TopicsExpress

Social Influencer Stats Today I stumbled across various stats dealing with social media and they just blew my mind. I thought Id share them with you. While these stats speak plenty for themselves, Id like to start the conversation on defining the implications of these statistics. 83% of all holiday shoppers are influenced by customer reviews. (ChannelAdvisor Consumer Shopping Habits Survey, August 2010) So when holiday time comes you better hope you have some good reviews. Influencer marketing can come in handy here. Get some big name bloggers and tweeters to give a positive review of your item. That way- you have not only the power of reviews that this statistic lauds, but also the power of influencers. Brands w/ highest social media activity (includes reviews) increased revenues by as much as 18%. (Media Post News, July 2009). Heres a statistic that, in plain print, presents the argument that social media does, in fact, have ROI. Now you might say correlation does not mean causation, but I firmly believe this is an exception to that rule. Social Media is powerful and I have no doubts that it generated such an increase. 53% of people on Twitter recommend companies and/or products in their Tweets, with 48% of them delivering on their intention to buy the product. (ROI Research for Performance, June 2010) Thats half of everyone on twitter. As of a couple months ago it was an estimated 145 million user count. And that number is bloated with dead users and spam, which means that statistic up there is likely much higher. Influencer marketing is powerful. Influencer marketing paired with social media? Herculean. The average consumer mentions specific brands over 90 times per week in conversations with friends, family, and co-workers. (Keller Fay, WOMMA, 2010) Hmmm... Guess where a lot of conversations are happening? Facebook. Twitter. YOUR brand is being mentioned online. Are you aware of it? Are you tracking it? Are you influencing it? You could be. These statistics represent why its so important that companies take advantage of whats happening online. Its why its so important for companies to establish a presence in social media. When these statistics are updated will you know that you had a part of it? Want to know more about b2b influencers, influence marketing, and word of mouth influence? Hit me up at EricB2204@gmail
