[Social Movement For Change (SMC)]: Jonathan Must Sack Abba Moro Now- Social Movement For Change (SMC) - 17th March 2014 The Social Movement for Change (SMC) noted with great dismay, a statement credited to Nigerias Minister of Interior, Mr Abba Moro over the death of 23 youths in the course of their struggle to be employed during an aptitude test carried out by the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) on the 15th of March 2014. Its disastrous and danger alarming regarding the large number of unemployed youths in a Nation destined for all to be employed, its even more disastrous as to how ill-hearted persons like Abba Moro whom are not even qualified to run the affairs of a poultry farm are giving a mandate to super head a section of government. SMC condemned with strong terms, the inhumanly statement made by Mr. Moro at a time when his words should have been kind and fatherly, no responsible leader will issued such ill-hearted statement to mourning families that lost their love ones as a result of government negligences for failing to provide a conducive environment for applicants to write the examination despite the huge sum of money generated from the N1000 being paid by each applicant for the exams. SMC isnt surprise by Mr. Moros words viewing from his high level of ignorance and irresponsibility, Moro didnt only displayed his incompetence to administer the affairs of a Federal Ministry but also showcased his stupidity and his lack of human feelings. How can he accused a dead of killing himself while legally searching for his daily bread? Its inglorious the high level of unemployment in this country despite government figures showing the creation of millions jobs yearly and the huge amount of funds budgeted for that purpose annually. Where does this figures came from? Where are the funds budgeted for jobs creation? Have the funds grown wings and flew away? They has gone to nowhere but the pockets of the officials in National leadership. This clearly demonstrates government failure for failing to meet upto expectations as promised, it also displayed leadership errors and government incompetence to deliver it objectives accompanied by the lack of honesty in leadership. Unemployment in Nigeria has grown from about 21% in 2010 to an estimated 29.3% in 2012 and now to about 46%. What a tragedy! Social Movement for Change can undoubtedly stated that the rising cases of insecurity threatening the existence of this Nation are nothing but direct nemesis of joblessness among youths and they will continue to destroy the economy of Nigeria until youths are empowered. We can assure Mr President that the current security challenges facing Nigeria today, are all jokes compared to when Nigerian youths will revolt against injustice and oppression. In this manner, we wish to join our sister groups to demand for the sack of Mr Abba Moro for simply exhibiting his prankishness, inhumanity and the scandalous characters in him. Social Movement for Change is calling on the Federal Republic of Nigeria to, as a matter of urgency sack the Minister of Internal affairs Mr Abba Moro with immediate effect for his vandalism and order him to commiserate with the victims families and if possible, compensate them or face the anger of the youths. We wont be worried to occupy the streets in mass if Mr Moro isnt shown the way out of Nigerias leadership and be replace by more credible mind that perfectly knows the core values of human lives and government must compensate the victims families for what SMC can call government haphazardness in creating jobs. Like it or not, this administration has only succeeded in further shrinking Nigeria’s dwindling middle class and worsening inequality. Where are all the promises made by Mr President of building industries that will create jobs? We are still waiting. Lastly, we pray for peaceful eternal rest to the souls of our youths that lost their lives in their quest to earn a living, we also commiserate with their families and asked God to give them the fortitude to bear the exit of their love ones. They are destined to depart March 15 with or without Immigration Service.
