Society spends vast amount of resources to educate people in schools. And now, a university comes and shows us basically the same optical principle in any SLR camera - without the mirror - telling us its a cloaking device? As seen in the video at the beginning... There is a focal point between the first and second lens from left, where all the rays coming from the background grid are passing through one single point. There are two cones of rays between the first and second lens that meet in that point. For an observer that sits in another narrow cone defined by the first and second lens, any object that is placed outside those cones between lenses becomes obstructed by the first lens. But if the object touches one of those cones, it becomes visible although deformed and upside down as in the 10th second of the video. youtu.be/vtKBzwKfP8E?t=10s This way the severe restrictions of this experiment and the fact the backround image is quite far from the hidden image does not qualify it as a cloaking device. But there is no scientific definition of an invisibility cloak as seen in Harry Potter. There will never be. You can actually create the same effect with a simple magnifying glass. The other three lenses in the setup are used just to restore the size of the background image.
