Some BDR statistics just submitted to the Department of Local Government. This is compulsory to submit at the end of every year. We have gone down in number of dogs rescued in comparison to last years numbers. We do have a valid excuse though... the move up North was huge and we did have to lower the number of dogs as we had to work out the new kennels and do lots of repairs. So last year, BDR rescued 150 dogs (128 from pounds) (17 private surrenders) This financial year 2013/14 BDR rescued 77 (52 from pounds) (25 private surrenders) Hopefully as we continue to improve our new BDR facility, we should be able to get back on track.
