Some BRILLIANT Town Centre news!!! The long-awaited regeneration of Bracknells dilapidated town centre has come a step closer with the news the fashion-led retailer Fenwick is coming to the new shopping centre. The 80,000 sq ft store will eventually replace the existing Bentalls in town, which will continue to trade until the new store is open. The new three-storey store will also be next to a six-level multi-storey car park. Fenwick joins retailers including Marks & Spencer, Primark, H & M and the already-open Waitrose in coming to the town. There will also be a 12-screen Cineworld complex and restaurants including Carluccios, Zizzi, Coast to Coast, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Pizza Express, Nando’s and Las Iguanas. The total space now either completed or pre-let is more than 340,000 sq ft, more than half the town. Cllr Marc Brunel-Walker , executive member for economic development and regeneration, added: “To secure such a high-quality retailer as Fenwick is a major boost for the regeneration of Bracknell town centre. The Fenwick group has always been a big part of Bracknell town centre as its Bentalls store has been at the heart of our town for many years. I’m delighted this valued retailer has recommitted to be part of the town’s future. We are also pleased that both Legal & General and Schroders have publicly confirmed their commitment to this scheme, and recognised our contribution towards making that happen.”
