Some Manchester United supporters need prayers. They support the Red Devils but are fanatics to Wayne Rooney. At the 2006 World Cup, Wazza did what he is well known for , lost his usual boiling temper and stamped Carvalho on the groin if am not mistaken. That was in a match between England and Portugal. A match that had nothing to do with United. However, the United fans who worship Rooney a lot decided to take the issue to Old Trafford. They alleged CR7 had influenced the referee into sending Golden Boy off. They wanted to see no sign of Ronaldo at Manchester. Mind you this is one of the best players the world has ever seen. Someone who is what this Rooney will never be. Rooney behaved like a vicious wild animal and CR7 ended up becoming the villain. Instead of lamenting Wazzas actions, focus was switched to Ronaldo. All because of this blind love for Rooney. The same Rooney who threatened to join Uniteds cross town rivals Manchester City years back. He was not done, last season started with uncertainity for United faithful as Wazza was considering a move to another Premier League rival, Chelsea. To be honest, if it was Ronaldo still at United and having been on the verge of going to City and Chelsea at some point, I can imagine the hate he would have been served with. Now that Robin Van Persie has come to Old Trafford, he has had to be criticised whenever he takes a slight loss of form. He is always being lampooned even for no reason. Now Rooney is busy kicking opponents and almost cost us three points, people justify his animal nature by reminding us of Eric Cantona. Just like the with the 2006 misconduct, Rooney does somethin wrong, someone takes the blame. Imagine if RVP had got that red card! Well, love Rooney all way you like but do not make the lives of other players difficult at United just because of an ego-centric individual who want to be the epicentre of every event. Africans shock me too, you would be forgiven for thinking they hail from England, too!!! #14
