Some R & D going on at Green Man Knives recently Inspired by the beautiful knives of the Sami People of northern Scandanavia is my first puukko This one is particularly a hunters puukko having a very slightly dropped point. The blade is a stick tang carbon steel blade 3mm thick and 100mm long; the handle is stacked onto the tang and fixed down with a pommel nut and consists of brass, red fibre liners, synthetic ivory and eucalyptus burr. Now to work on the sheath which will also be along traditional Sami lines.
