Some actors always make great movies – consistently. Others, such as Adam Sandler, make movies that appeals to a little more of a low-brow crowd…but at least he’s consistent. Then you have those actors that just drive me crazy with their terrible choices. I have two examples to share: 1) Cuba Gooding Jr…think about it…how does the same guy that starred in “Boyz In The Hood”, ”Jerry Maguire”, “Radio” and “Men of Honor” also decide to do movies like “Lightning Jack”, “Snow Dogs”, “Daddy Day Camp” and, my personal favorite, “Boat Trip”?? and 2) Brendan Fraser star of “School Ties”, “The Scout”, “Gods and Monsters”, “Crash” and the blockbuster “Mummy” series...this is the same guy who decided it was a good move to do “George of the Jungle”, “Dudley Do-Right”, “Looney Tunes: Back in Action”, “Monkeybone” (best title ever), and the Oscar contending movie with title that sounds like it could be on Cinemax after-hours: “Furry Vengeance”. I’m giving Brendan a pass on “Encino Man” because I think it may have been his first movie. If I was Cuba or Brendan, I would have fired my manager a long, looooooong time ago.
