Some clips from my first gig on a short film, from a few years - TopicsExpress

Some clips from my first gig on a short film, from a few years back. It was a very steep learning curve for me, with no formal acting training I was pretty much winging it, and also having to learn about all the technical stuff on the hoof. Looking at it now, theres SO much I would change about my performance, for one Id slow down my reactions, give them more time to breathe. But I think much of that was nerves! We were also shooting on film, so we had VERY few takes to play with as film is so expensive to use up. However, I was lucky to work with the truly wonderful director Leyla Pope (this was a film she made whilst a final-year film student) and a super-supportive ensemble of actors. I hope that one day Ill have the privilege of working with Leyla again. So, lessons to be learned (particularly, I think, that I suit blonde better than ginger!) but good to look back and see (hopefully) that much progress has been made. And I think it also cements my belief that the best way to learn your craft is just to get out there, make mistakes, take the lessons from it and do it better the next time! https://facebook/video.php?v=10150220307087073&set=vb.120204964730201&type=2&theater
