Some etiquette when making dua: Be firm when supplicating and confident in Allahs response. Be in a state of wudhu Face toward the Qiblah Praise Allah by referring to his names, attributes and blessings Invoke blessing on Prophet Muhammad (SAW) - Salawat Repeat the dua three times Describe you need and make your request End dua by making more salawat and Praise Allah. (The dua must be pure and not bad, does not break family ties) Remember do not become impatient when waiting for duas to be accepted. One who asks Allah should persist and not despair of receiving positive response to his dua for this demonstrates his submission and absolute reliance on Allahs assistance.
