Some folks call us tree-hugging hippies and others call us knuckle-dragging rednecks but were just a bunch of local yocals who like to hunt, fish and drink clean water. We also like the kind of development that does more good than harm. Weve tried to focus on the local impacts and stay away from dealing with global issues or even national debates. We are a watershed-based organization that takes a look at how different projects impact the folks who live here. This recent study gives us a new perspective about why people from all over the world support our work...we are simply one of the last remaining places that still has an intact system to fight for. Scientists argue that this region is the single, greatest candidate for a climate sanctuary on the entire planet!
