Some food for thought: Food truck vendors have opened the doors - TopicsExpress

Some food for thought: Food truck vendors have opened the doors for a new era of festivals & entertainment over the past several years. Local governments should be applauding such as it is bringing life back into many cities and towns that so desperately need it. The facts are local brick & mortars who complain about mobile vendors have the same opportunities just as the mobile vendors had the same options to open a brick and mortar. Just like when you chose to buy a v8 car as opposed to a 4cyl and then complain about it getting bad mileage. Everyone has a different business model and goal in life, no two are the same. I have seen many mobile vendors open up brick & mortars and many brick & mortars start to add on mobile units. To succeed in life & business you have to be willing to change with the times. I solute all of you mobile food vendors out there, I know first hand that the trucks & trailers are NOT cheap as many think they are, permits are not cheap, event fees, fuel cost, insurance, taxes, etc are not cheap. Many of you invest your life savings, have left secure jobs, and took big chances getting started. That is what America is about. People like you and I, the under dogs, the ones who take chances are what will restore this country. I can tell you more and more people are coming out, meeting new friends, and getting back to the basics of life more than ever before. Seeing people laughing, smiling, and enjoying great food makes it all worth it. I look forward to seeing everyone at the Meriden CT Food Truck Fest Oct 25 & 26 keep on truckin
