Some great doo-wop from JAN & DEAN, released in 1959 on DORE RECORDS! Doo-wop is in quotes since many die-hard doo-wop and group harmony fans will say that this technically isnt doo-wop since it isnt rooted in R&B and doesnt involve 4 or 5 part harmony. However, it does have some of the other elements of doo-wop and was one of Jan & Deans pre-surf records, released during the doo-wop era. So I guess we could just call it a rock & roll record with a doo-wop flavor! Either way, Ive always loved this song!
