Status Update By Kim Anderson Isbell Words can not describe how honored I feel right now. I just found out that I won the Jackie Engel Award for 2014. I know some of you might have no idea what that is. It is equivalent of the Kansas Scholastic Journalism Adviser of the Year. I was in complete shock when I heard the news; I still wonder how on Earth I was even nominated. This is an award that I had always heard about these amazing advisers getting, but I never dreamed I would actually win it. Thank you to those of you who worked on my nomination letters and application. I can not tell you how excited I am! — feeling special.
