Some guys (Cameroonians) boldly testified for God on BBC (so naturally) and I was humbled by their testimony. They had for years been trying to cross (illegally) from Morocco to Europe through Spain. A lot of risk is involved in the journey and especially on succeeding to go over three very tall fences with law enforcement officers fighting them back and arresting some. The BBC journalist asked them, what finally made them to succeed when others like them were not succeeding: all of them whom I heard said it was God. They repeated this over three times in less than two minutes. They shared their determination, their courage and all their efforts but said if it was not God, they would not have made it. I was humbled by this honest truth that determination is good, efforts good but it is God who gives success to those he wants to, when he wants to. Let us pray for them, that God’s Spirit will go after them to make them know this God who helped them so well and be so established in him that no matter what progress they will make in Europe, their testimony will never change. Let us also pray for those struggling like them that God will bring them to the same conclusion and so establish clearly that apart from him, all human endeavors, motivations and efforts are in vain. There is infinite peace in knowing resting all our efforts on the sovereignty of God.
