Some have asked for a recipe for Amandas Vaguely Asian Sausage and Cabbage dish. Heres the step by step photos. not pictured: 8oz can of unsalted tomato sauce (goya, or whatever is fine) and about 2 tablespoons of mustard powder. Salt and pepper to taste. Sweat 1 diced onion. Add a minced clove of garlic (or 2). Add Hot Sausage (whatever kind you can get that doesnt have fennel seeds). Brown and crumble. Add sauce and mustard powder. Add shredded/chopped cabbage (about half a head per 1lb of sausage) and fold to combine. Cover and stir about every 10 minutes until cabbage has released all its liquid and all pieces are translucent. This gets pretty when you use purple cabbage. Works with precut or home cut, or coleslaw mixes that you forgot you had (minus the sauce, please).
