Some key Ravens appear to be getting healthier for Sunday’s game against the Bengals. Linebackers Terrell Suggs (foot) and Daryl Smith (thigh), cornerbacks Jimmy Smith (groin) and Corey Graham (calf), and wide receiver Brandon Stokley (calf) were all at the early portion of Friday’s practice. None of them practiced Thursday. Expect Suggs to play against the Bengals. His foot injury never appeared to be serious Thursday when he was walking around the locker room. Then on Friday, Suggs saw reporters and playfully starting walking with an exaggerated fake limp as he sauntered onto the practice field. When Suggs jokes, it means he feels good, which means he plans to play. Jimmy Smith declined speaking about his injury, but his presence at practice was a positive sign. Meanwhile, Daryl Smith sounded optimistic he would play. “I feel pretty good,” Smith said. “Look forward to Sunday. Couple of days rest, rehab, I should be ready to ride.” Smith stated the obvious – that the Ravens (3-5) could not afford their fourth-straight loss. “We definitely got to get a win,” Smith said. “I wouldn’t call it desperation, but we definitely need a win. Everybody’s using their energy and focus on getting a win, by any means necessary.” -The Raven Chronicles
