Some last minute updates for tomorrows riding. Twin Pine Snowmobile club is out tonight on its 85/86, the Grant Brook Road and the Logan Pond trail, we are not however grooming the Pole Line section of 85 86. Last night Shin Pond groomed much of there system as outlined below and the folks at the Chesuncook Lake House groomed there system last night. If you want a good ride focus on 85/86 from Millinocket or Millinocket Lake North East and West. Turn up to Chesuncook on the Black Pond Trail or the Farrar MTN Trail and follow the signs to the Lake house. This is a good long ride and will be groomed the whole way if you stay on the right trails. Alternatively head to Shin Pond/ or Bowlin/Mattagamon or even up to Libbys camps as described below... Again all snow covered with some icy corners and wet spots. The Logan Pond Trail from Twin Pines or Millinocket Lake or the Timber Cruisers Club house make great start or lunch spots for that ride. We plan to groom in the snow tomorrow night as well! 3-6 forecast any amount will be great! Shin Ponds Report! 1/17 - Good Morning from Shin Pond! Sorry I have not posted in a while... BUT we are riding in our area! We groomed ITS114/85S to Whetstone last evening, 71D is groomed, ITS 85 Bowlin to Matagamon and onto to Shin Pond is groomed! Scraggley Lake Loop is being opened this morning. Club trail 64 is groomed. It is spring like riding here in Jan but there is riding! You will need to use caution, there will be icy corners and some water in low areas. Check out video that has been posted on Shin Pond Village and Matagamon Wilderness FB pages! Libbys Camps has groomed their pinnacle loop meeting us on 71D, NEOC is grooming to Whetstone Bridge to meet us so there is a great ride! Hope to see you this weekend!
