Some late 1930s aerial photos of the Philadelphia Cricket Club - TopicsExpress

Some late 1930s aerial photos of the Philadelphia Cricket Club Flourtown course. Opened in 1922 and designed by Albert Warren Tillinghast who was at the vanguard of what has been described as the “Philadelphia School” of golf course architecture that so greatly contributed to the “Golden Age” of course design in America, centered roughly around the decade of the 1920′s. The color image is from 2007 and shows the tree growth on the course, which recently - after much debate apparently - has removed most of the trees to improve conditions and help return it to the original Tillinghast design.
