Some lawyers charge $5,000 per detention review. I heard one once - TopicsExpress

Some lawyers charge $5,000 per detention review. I heard one once was $750. Depends how much they feel like charging and you can never guarantee they will put the work required in, then you have the whole bogus immigration detention reviews. Legal Aid, IF you get it, good luck with getting what you need. Legal Aid almost never covers the reviews, sometimes they give one whole hour coverage, which might cover the court time, if that, but no prep work, which is most important. Yet, if youre unrepresented, they look at you like no one wants your case or youre just slum. According to statistics, youre chance of release on first review is 13.3% and lessens with every review that passes. Bottom line, its all a bogus or a high high price. Only the drug dealers can afford justice.
