Some minor hockey arenas in the States have painted a warning track along the boards in hope to prevent injuries. Do you think we should have these for minor hockey here? Personally, I think this is a great idea. A few years ago during a league game, I was crosschecked from behind into the boards and fractured my spine, hyper-extended a muscle in my neck, and messed up my shoulder blade as well. Im thankful that it was not as bad as it could have been, but to say it was painful would be an understatement... It was something that could have been prevented and something that doesnt need to happen again. The warning track could have giving both me and the *insert expletive here* dude who thought it would be a good idea to send my flying head first into the boards a warning to perhaps slow down and be more careful.
