Some of my notes about some stuff I have learned about faith. Read it!!!! It will help you!!!! Your faith is either growing or shrinking. You are either going after God or you are going away from Him Why is it when we pray and He responds do we get all freaked out yes we should be amazed but we should also have a confidence that when we pray He will respond. Where is your faith? On a scale of say 1-100 where 1 is none and 100 is thru he roof, where are you? We should be going higher regularly. Belief and faith is different. You can believe you have cancer but have faith you are healed. There is levels of faith. You can have faith and also be missing some faith. You can have faith, and still have elements of faith missing. Most believers have the most faith when they are first saved. It is easier for them to believe for their deliverance when they get first saved. Do not tune a person out when they start talking about faith cause you think you have it all figured out and you have faith. Oh here he is being all faith talking and I have faith, I am saved, I believe Jesus is Lord so I am gonna not pay attention. If you and I have it all figured out, then why are we still struggling when no one else is around? Why are we sick, broke, busted and disgusted? We get excited about things and worry about things because we have not got to a place that we believe the Devine realm, the spiritual realm is more real than the natural. Who in this room i saved? Who in this room, when you take your last breath, are going to be in heaven with The Lord? It took faith for you to grab that. It took a measure of faith for you to accept that Jesus is Lord. For you to believe that there was a person born named Jesus and that you are a sinner. It took faith for you to believe that you are jacked up and you need a savior. It took a measure of faith for you to believe Jesus died and that He was resurrected and today He lives. It took a measure of faith. So everyone in this room has a measure of faith. That is a good starting point. James 2:15 15 Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. So you have faith that Jesus is Lord. That is great, but your faith needs to grow from that. We need to know that He will provide. But just believing that isnt enough, we have to have faith that He will provide. I can believe something but really not have faith with it. Romans 10:9 9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. So those that are in this room that are saved, believed this. John 3:16 We can have faith in that and be saved. Isaiah 53:5 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. Today is the day that you need to allow your faith to grow to be able to get that. Today is the day my faith has to grow to get that. It can be as serious as a life and death situation. I We can be saved yet die with a cancer ridden body cause we struggle with that. I have known so many saints that have died because of cancer and I believe, were saved. Hosea 4:6 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. 1 Thes 3:1-10 Paul says here 5 times they have great faith then at the end he says there are things lacking in their faith There are things we can know, that will get us there, there are things we dont know that will not keep us there. There are things we know that will get us eternal life, there are things we dont know that will kill us 1 Peter 1:8 We can be saved and miserable but we cannot have great faith and be miserable. We can be saved and be miserable. We can be walking around saved but just not full of any joy. Have you ever met a person that was a Christian and ask them how they are and they are so beat up, hunched over, defeated and weighted down? Ask them how they are and they are like, pray for me brother, the devil has me, he is working me over. More than conquerers means you have to conquer something. That sickness, you are already healed of it, that financial situation, you are already not broke, that lawsuit, it is already dealt with because you have favor. People should get saved just because of you walking around full of joy, where no matter what is happening, you are full of joy. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Can you have faith that there a might awakening coming to St Louis desite the strongholds?Can you have faith that there will be healing lines and kids getting saved in our schools even though today kids a dieing from overdoses? What is it you are struggling to have faith for?
