Some of the Jones brothers were said to sometimes run with Pretty Boy Floyd and others. They would sometimes have dances at John and Dollie Terrys house way out in the sticks. They would have 2 or 3 people playing instruments so everyone could dance. They would always have 2 or 3 men outside with Tommy-guns watching for the law. Every hour or so the ones outside would trade places with some inside so everyone got to dance. Men women and children all danced. There is a story that Jessy Jones killed someone in Okla. and had to move to Missouri. At the time unless the feds were involved the law could not cross state lines. While there he won a Modle A some contest but could not enter Okla. to claim it. His brother Lee claimed it but refused to give it to Jesse. That started a fued that lasted the rest of their lives.
