Some of you are already familiar with the site, but for the rest I would like to give you a tip about the HROARR site. This is a site for historical fencing that tries to connect fencers from all over the world and help us all to collaborate better. Unfortunately, today we have several different, and to some degree isolated, HEMA communities in Germany, England, France, Italy, Spain, USA and Scandinavia etc. This needs to change. International collaboration is the key to all our success I believe. We need to talk, share and fight together, to learn quicker and not do double work in our own small circles and communities. Currently some 60 HEMA instructors and researchers are sharing articles on the site. And you are welcome to join in too. In the spirit of this, here is a new article I wrote the other day, describing some exercises to try for your classes. They are designed to help you become a better and more dynamic fencer, using the concept of Free Fencing. Oh, and while I am at it, also note the Charity Campaign that is on the site. Any donations will be used to aid the millions of starving in Syria. Currently we have raised funds to support ca 70 people for a full month. hroarr/free-fencing-exercises/
