HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW? You know it. Or, maybe you don’t know, - TopicsExpress

HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW? You know it. Or, maybe you don’t know, in fairness to you, it might be wrong if I jumped into conclusion that you know that ignorance and innocence are not the same thing and also, that, errors and mistakes are indeed far from each other .the most unfortunate therefore, is that, many a times we have displayed ignorance in the name of culture or tradition, not enough that we did do that, but that we even celebrate it. Sometimes, we think we are progressing but if carefully studied, we soon realized that we are actually progressing in error. And many at time when we act in ignorance and walk in errors a lot of damages are done unlike when we act in innocence and make mistakes where correction can easily be made which eventually lessen the supposed damage. It often said that an undefined action leads to abuse, that is; if the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable. This is very unfortunate, most unfortunate that we often engage in ignorance and walk our ways trough errors and yet we are proud of it. It is either we claimed it to be culture or tradition. But the question is, what culture is; what is tradition, as it is common with me, I let you answer that. One thing is forever clear to me that both culture and tradition are all subject to change because, it weren’t men for culture and tradition but, tradition and culture are for men therefore, in my own opinion, men reserve the absolute right to either adjust or change it to suit them as generations unfold. I will like to ask you my dear friends, you are very dear to me that is why I decided to bring it before you because I know you, I know that you have a sincere sense of judgments, I also know that you know CULTURE SHOULD NEVER BE THE REASON FOR ABUSING THE GIRL-CHILD neither should TRADITION BE THE REASON WHY WOMANHOOD BE SUBJECTED TO PERPETUAL DEHUMANIZED ACT. Therefore is it right, since the female genital organ has no fore skin, is it right that in the name of culture or as they claimed, in an effort to curb promiscuity in women cut off the most important part of their body? Do you agree with me that that act of mutilation of the girl-child no matter who is practicing it, that it is a violation of a woman human right? Do you agree that it doesn’t matter if it’s just one person that still engaged in this barbaric act, that still, it has to stop? Do you agree that we can actually stop it starting from our own domain? If yes, then join our foundation GRASSROOTS EDUCATION & DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE IN AFRICA in collaboration with FREDRICK AGBAJE FOUNDATION this xmas at Ososo come 24st December where we shall be meeting with a large number of women across the local government to tell them that ignorance is not an excuse in law, to tell them that, not only that the act of female genital mutilation a crime against the girl-child, but also punishable by law and finally by God because He never ordered that women should be circumcised. This ignorance must stop; we must turn back from the part of error. Pls like and share to show your support. Thank you.
