Some of you know that I was a monk before I started working for Anne Rice. Although I am no longer one, I am still a man of prayer. And so if you believe in the power of prayer -- whether to the Judeo-Christian God, to a higher power, to positive energy, or to the belief of your choice - I ask you to offer it up for the victims of the tragic shooting that occurred today at LAX (where Anne, Christopher, and I were yesterday) -- offer it for those who died because of the gunman, for those who are wounded, for those who are terrorized, and for those who are mourning loss of life. May there be peace in this world.
