Some one asked recently if it is ok to feed one raw meal a day and also a dried food meal as they heard that the dogs digestive system could not cope with such different feeds. Have been asking around and yes, they are correct. A dogs gut is not designed like ours to be able to eat a wide variety. Also the bacteria in the colon are adapted for one particular type of food. I do know people feed the former diet successfully but having done some homework perhaps it would be better to feed the same at each meal even if it means feeding some raw and some dried in same dish. AS usual wouls appreciate comments from people who feed this kind of diet.
