Some people ask me why I watermark all my videos, and I say cause people steal your videos from youtube and then repost them on their facebook page and then go viral for them with 50,000 plus likes with millions of views while the original videos have less than 200 views. If you have a video that you think may go viral in the near future make sure you watermark your videos. Master Ken thank me for sharing his original video that has gone viral on someone elses facebook page as a re-upload. I had a few people ask me to re-upload my videos with out the water mark so they can copy it including news stations. Facebook cracks down on people who use other peoples music then they need to do the same with videos. As for my watermark photos I do that to promote myself so if someone likes my photography they will know who had taken the photo and might want to hire me. I dont always post on facebook cause I just feel like it. Most of the time it brings me more work in social media networking. Of course I thank those who credit me and appreciate that. But when I see my watermarks cut out of my photos in re-post I feel like I am wasting my time sharing my work that I put a lot of time into. Movies industry is hurting the same way when people sell bootleg movies on the streets and flea markets. Because of the fake DVD copies on the streets is the reason why the movie industry is hurting and charging you more money on tickets, popcorn goodies and why some movie theaters go out of business. I dont want to go out of business either giving so much away for free.
