Some preach that repentance is a work and should not be preached to the unsaved. JOHN THE BAPTIST…“And saying, REPENT ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. “ Matt 3:1-2 JESUS "From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, REPENT: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Matt. 4:17 KJV) PAUL: ...Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, REPENTANCE toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 20:20-21) Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should REPENT and turn to God, and do works meet for REPENTANCE... (Acts 26:19-21) Does this mean that those who claim to be "born again," but refuse to repent and forsake a sinful lifestyle, are truly born again? Can a "born again Christian" not repent and not bring fruits worthy of salvation? Sharon Henry
