Some real powerful images right here! And for us to take it even 1 step further it also has to be about eliminating Black on Black crime and homicide. It has to be about knowledge of self, self love, self awareness, self respect and unity across the board. Because I can guarantee you that this past weekend that a black man shot another black man outside of a club or bar, somewhere in America. Its the norm but if we did away with that and really started building each other rather than destroying each other, the whole perception of our race would change. The establishment and the powers that be would actually fear that kind of unity, they would be absolutely terrified. Divide and conquer can only last for so long before that group of people 1 day gets sick of it and has no other options but to wake up and reverse the illness. This is far fetched but I hope in 2015 and beyond before we pull the trigger on each other we would realize that that is a vicious cycle that has plagued us for too long. I pray for peace in Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, St Louis, LA, Atlanta, NY, Memphis, Houston and every the other black community .. I have associates of all different races and backgrounds but as we navigate thru our day to day lives I dont think anyone will ever genuinely understand the hidden pain that black women and men carry everyday, no empathy needed, Its Our responsibility to get Our own house in order. No one is going to do it for us.. Time to take the training wheels off....
