Some recent developments in the field of science, especially the latest Nobel prize for Physics, have created much hype in the media about the so-called God particle. Including the misnomer God particle, there are a lot of things about this topic that makes it interesting to learn about. On the back drop of this, students association is planning to conduct a lecture on The God particle and the world of particles. The session is proposed to be in popular level so that people from all disciplines in our institute can make use of it. This will be handled by Vaisakhan Thampi, an SRF with physics background from our own institute on Monday (11.11.2013) at 2.00 pm in Seminar hall.
