Some sad news. Some of you may know i used to have a mountain bike shop in Gloucester called Bigfoot mountain bikes and whilst trading there a customer asked me if Id be interested in starting a Gloucester Mountain Bike Club, that was 1994, his name, Mark Churchill. As a result the two of us kicked off the Bigfoot Mountain Bike club; which is still going today and about to enter its 20th year. Well its with great sadness that news has just come to me that Mark died last week aged just 45. Mark was a great guy and always a perfectionist. I remember the very first club committee meeting in my spare bedroom and our first attempt at a club newsletter. Its was a very basic thing but already his desire to inject fun into it was obvious and this continued for years after. Mark later turned to road riding and we lost touch but i often bumped into him at events. I dont know the circumstance behind hi passing but i just had to say something as he was a great friend and fellow cyclist. RIP Mark.
