Some scientific facts about the purpose of the Moon(besides to be a light to us)........It cleans up the oceans with its tides. Without those tides and without the moon all our shores and all our bays would be filled with billions of tons of garbage and debris. The moon mixes the atmosphere. Just as it works on the sea it works on the atmosphere and mixes oxygen into the water as the waves break on the shore. Upon that aerated water depends the life of the seas plankton which provides the basis of the ground level of the whole food chain. Without which we all would die. The moon which just Accidently happens to be there also just accidently happens to be the right size and the right distance from the earth for these things to happen as they do.......
