Some things Ive learned over the past year or so: 1. Patience is not a virtue, it is an essential. 2. The middle ground in a conflict takes more abuse than either side. 3. If you take a side in a conflict, be sure you can live with the loss. 4. Words cannot explain the heart. 5. Research and analysis are good. But impulse can create magic. 6. Interesting projects or people create the greater reward. 7. Cookies and lemonade from little kids taste better to the soul. 8. Money, greed, power and politics are all religions. And there are far too many zealots. 9. If a waiter or waitress was making $11 an hour, Id still tip the same amount. 10. Do business on a handshake. Just know a handshake is not evidence in a courtroom. 11. A good idea takes way more effort to make work than it takes to make a bad idea fail. 12. The enviable player in a band is the one with the most to learn. That is usually me.
