Some true facts about single parenting: • Wherever you go out someone will ask you who is looking after your child/children. • You and your offspring are statistically more likely to get through on the X factor. • Sometimes its just easier not to correct old people who assume because you have a kid you must have a husband: which one is your husband? Erm, I actually cant see him just now! • A fellow SP will never tell you that its good his/her Dad still sees him/her 😡 or never not see why this is a ridiculous statement! • The single parents alone together style clubs from about a boy dont exist but if they did it would be awesome! • Single Dads only exist when the mother dies in childbirth is not 100% factually accurate. • They dont do free kids places for single parents, maybe were not supposed to afford holidays with our children? • God compared himself to a hen looking after a nest*, not a penguin, he therefore thinks single Mums rock at parenting! • Its totally acceptable practice to buy yourself some extra Mothers Day gifts. • A young, single Mum was the specially chosen parent for Christ. • Simply being a single parent is not a valid excuse to not wash your hair and wear track suits the whole time. • Not all single parents are on benefits, even less now David Cameron has been pinching us all! • Some will say I dont know how you do it and to be honest sometimes, you dont know either! • Single parents are likely to be very resourceful with multitasking and time management, I wrote this while making dinner and doing ironing with my feet! • Sapphire from Aristocats was a single kitten mother, she did it with lots of class! Go Disney. • Our grass is just as green and grassy as everyone elses grass, the main difference is that our garden only has one full time gardener. That doesnt mean our grass will become wild and unruly, especially if the gardener is good at attending to his/her little garden. • Single parent shouldnt have to use their status as an excuse or think of themselves as victims, we are just as worthy of being brilliant individuals and able to raise some really great kids too! *maybe he thought the cocks out there werent worth the mention?! 🐔
