Some years ago like an atomic bomb exploding I got this crazy idea to make what I would later dub a Kaiju Noir. A mix of Godzilla and Film Noir. And like the King of the Monsters, this idea laid dormant in the depths of my mind as I worked on characters, dialogue, and structure. But these last few months, the idea has been wreaking havoc on my life to the point I just wanted to run down the street screaming pointing at some giant imaginary beast. Then these last few days have gone do incredibly well. With just one more scene to do (and maybe just one tiny retake on an exterior noir-y voice over bit) I am almost saddened to see this project lumber off back into the depths. But Godzilla, P.I. will return! After all I have to recoup my finances a tiny bit and get an editor, sound designer, composer, and visual effects person. And then this monster will be ready to take on the world! (Godzilla, P.I. Day 4)
