Someone I know recently referred to me as doing something in true Louise style. It was said in a somewhat derisive manner, as is to say true Louise style is somehow bad. At first my feelings were a bit hurt because I like and respect this person. But then I thought about it - what is true Louise style? I can often be too direct. Im aggressive. I am often thoughtless and rude, sometimes completely by accident, sometimes not. But guess what else? Im honest. Im compassionate. Im authentic. Im fun. And Im kind, namely because I dont dismiss people with a quick turn of phrase. So Im ok with true Louise style. Because, heres what - at least, if nothing else, I have style.
