The press conference, in advance of the grand jury decision in the - TopicsExpress

The press conference, in advance of the grand jury decision in the Mike Brown case, by Missouri officials has got to be the most tone deaf, inexplicable, ridiculous thing Ive ever seen. 1. It telegraphs the grand jury decision, though we already knew the grand jury would no bill it. Nevertheless, it implies officials already know the decision. Which leads to the suspicion that the grand jury process was corrupt, considering they all claim the grand jury is still deliberating and has not yet come to a decision. (Yeah, I know!) 2. Violence will not be tolerated. Uuuuuggghhhh! First, REALLY? The only violence from the beginning was on the behalf of the police dept, with their handling of Mike Brown to the militarized overreaction to the peoples right to assemble and peacefully protest. Secondly, CLEARLY they have not learned anything - since the whole message came off as combative, unnecessarily aggressive, and a racially biased presumption that any large group of people of color is inherently violent. Ignorance at its worst! time/3578952/jay-nixon-missouri-governor/
