Someone asked in Disciple IV class, If Jesus was God, why did he pray to God? After 4 years of intensive Bible study, our discussions are not shallow, but deep and searching. In more than 10 years of facilitating Disciple I - IV, this was a first for that question. One student said he believed the main reason was because Jesus came to earth, not only to save us from our sins, but as an example to us. Jesus prayed to teach us to pray...fervently and unceasingly. As we strive to be more like Jesus in the way that he lived, look to his prayer life. Jesus came to show us the heart of God. Today, please follow Jesus example...find a private, quiet place and pray fervently for those on your prayer list. PLEASE LIFT UP LITTLE HARRIETT IN UGANDA (YESTERDAYS POST). Ask God to be with her, calm her fears, and place his angels around her. Also ask for healing if this is in his will. Amen? Amen!
