Someone asked me a question regarding drums and the conversation - TopicsExpress

Someone asked me a question regarding drums and the conversation is as follows: THAT PERSON : Brother, can you tell me, why most of the drummers does have a double bass kit in spite of the fact that that he has his dual pedals which are indented towards one bass drum??? ME : As far as from my research, most drummers do. Its because it makes the skin more worn. If it feels far different, you get a rebound of one bass drum when the other strike just slightly also it has a far more choked sound from to beater on one drum it would sound slightly different to unless if you are using triggers which also cancels out the full hit of the bass drum when the pedal strikes again so it just sounds cl-icky. Another fact is usually, Its easier to tune and mic just one bass drum than two because there may be a chance that two of the bass drums tuning may not match sometimes.. So I wanna ask to all of my friends and well-wishers who are especially drummers on my friend list that AM I RIGHT IN WHATEVER I SAID TO HIM. IF I AM WRONG THEN YOU MAY CORRECT ME AS MISTAKES MAKE PEOPLE LEARN MORE... CHEERS !!!!!
