Someone asked me if I wished I had been at Spec this week. The answer is no. Its not that I dislike Spec or dont support it. On the contrary. Its a terrific youth event and I highly support it. However, those of us who have served in key leadership roles over the years have taken our turn and had our opportunity to give ministry. Its time for others to step up to the plate - and they have done so beautifully. So heres to all the former Spec directors and Spec apostles and ALL the women and men who have served in leadership roles. A special shout out to some of the old timers like Everett Graffeo and Tom Cochran and Bill Barnhard. And a shout out to the director when I served, Steve Dimmitt.
