GE has never owned or operated Comcast. As a result, Comcast now owns or controls all of the NBC, CNBC, MSNBC (still co-owned with Microsoft) The Weather Channel Companies (Co-owned by private equity. A&E is now co-owned with Hearst Corp and Disney/ABC). GE and Comcast still co-own Universal Pictures. The complexity of todays media ownership is so much more than one picture...
