Someone once asked me, as I deal in historical documents, what Era would you chose? NOW! Why? Choice. I can chose to own a TV, a car, dishwasher,washing machine yadda,yadda...as a woman it is a privilege to vote (in Sth Australia since 1894), the Education Act of 1875 gave access to Education boys AND girls, penicillin (since 1941-45 which has saved my life twice!), convenience of showers, VITAL access to clean drinking water, flushing toilets, medical assistance IF REQUIRED (not just if the trend is for bigger/smaller/colour as they are the opinions of others), knowledge of measurable human impact on the health of the planet, media that informs us of detrimental activities of others around the world impacting on life in general so we can use our democratic right protest and boycott = NOW Remember, Sir David Attenborough lives in my Television as does Stephen Fry! life without either would be much diminished!!!
