Someone was using their logic and reason to explain why there cant be a god... Their reasoning was all over the board, but they kept going back to the issue of free will and punishment... And how it just doesnt make sense how a loving god would make people with free will, and then send them to hell for exercising it... I have three children, whom I love dearly... They disappoint me sometimes... They are disobedient sometimes... Some day, they may make some terrible decision... But I will always forgive them... I will always love them... I will be a just father, and they will receive punishment for their misdeeds... Sometimes, the natural consequences to their actions will serve as punishment enough... While I may instruct them to behave a certain way, they have free will... There is nothing more satisfying than seeing my children make good decisions under their own free will... Likewise, theres nothing more artificial than something someone is forced to do against his or her will... Our perspective on life and death (and in turn, our perspective on justice) is so different from Gods... Time itself is a construct created by man... The question of Gods existence beyond reason is a simple one to answer... The problem is not that the existence of God is unreasonable... Its that our sphere of reason is so limited...
